This was my sixth consecutive Ilkley Trial. The first problem was accommodation. previously we had always stayed at The Britannia Hotel in Bramhope and made a long weekend of it. Not this time as they weren't doing any deals. So we drove up Sunday morning, did the trial and then stayed at a B&B. Monday morning we drove home and Tuesday went down to Cornwall for four days.
We enjoyed the trial but boy its certainly become a bit rough since I started. We didn't do too badly in the morning but didn't drive so well in the afternoon so didn't trouble the awards secretary!
Cornwall was nice. We spent a couple of days visiting gardens but looked in on Bluehills and took in Crackington and Beggars Roost on the way home.
