My Northern Trial

We made it a long weekend. Travelled up in the Freelander Thursday with the Beetle behind on the trailer. Found a cheap deal for accommodation and meals at the Swallow Hotel in Carlisle. Found out they were in administration!

On the Friday we explored the Scottish side of the Solway Firth and explored  Caerlaverock Castle

The trial was on Saturday and it was very disappointing that their were only 17 starters in the main car trial classes. Shame because we had a good trial and finished second overall. It would have been great to have done that with more starters!

The Beetle went OK and we didn't have a problem with the handbrake sticking on. Seems holding the cables up with cable ties did the trick. We had free pressures on most of the trial and got them pretty much right all day.
